Aurelio became the first Brazilian to sign for Liverpool when he joined the club in July 2006 on a free transfer from Valencia. Started out with hometown team Sao Paulo before spending six years with Valencia. Enjoyed Primera Liga title glory under Rafael Benitez in Spain. Plays at left-back but can also do a job on the left of midfield, and is noted for his shooting prowess.
