With two years of managing at Hibs under his belt, Mowbray moved to West Bromwich Albion in late 2006. Mowbrays first job was to secure promotion back to the Premier League which he narrowly missed out on in his first season. A slew of transfers in the close season saw the departure of many high profile players however Mowbrays new team provided him with a Manager of The Month award in September 07 and a return to the Premiership for the 08/09 season.
